As part of the BMBF-funded research project 'Biotech Ecosystem Germany' headed by Dr. Svenja Jarchow from the Technical University of Munich, the course program 'Realizing Biotech Innovation - A Business Guide for Scientists' has been launched. The program consists of three independent courses that complement each other. It is available on the edX platform and can be completed at the participants’ own pace.

When founding a biotech company, founders face business challenges that go beyond company formation in other areas. The three courses are designed to address the challenges of early-stage and aspiring biotech entrepreneurs — from assessing the business potential of a biotech company (Course 1: 'Biotech - From Science to Business') to getting started with recruiting key employees and protecting the intellectual property (Course 2: 'How to Start a Biotech Venture'), to securing financial resources (Course 3: 'Financing Biotech Innovations').
