Project description
The ability to continuously generate innovation is a key factor for the competitiveness and performance of the economy and the prosperity of society. Science takes on a key role as a pioneer of innovation. However, translating scientific findings into new services and products can be challenging at times. Ultimately, innovations only emerge through the complex thinking, acting and interacting of people.
Hence, technology transfer is also a relationship business. More than all other factors such as technology, IP, etc., the ability to get out of the laboratory and into contact with people "outside" is what counts here. First and foremost, this refers to the industry, but for some time now it increasingly relates to civil society as well. Whether an invention becomes an innovation in the end often depends on chance and chance encounters.
One can help chance to take a leap by enabling encounters, contacts and relationships with new formats and instruments and working on them more systematically and professionally. It is not only about encounters between scientists and industrial partners, but also about contacts to alumni, founders, role models, mentors, industry experts, market experts, thought leaders and other "innovation drivers".
The GO-Bio "Zusatzmodul Technologietransfer" offers the possibility to close a gap and achieve sustainable effects. The planned activities consist of two pillars: encounters and relationships. They include the testing of new event formats as well as the conception and development of professional relationship management.
